Video Game Diaries: #2 Flowers in your weapons

The weapons conception was one of the hardest part of Mario+Rabbids Kingdom battle, as it was requiring us to create toy like weapons that needed two important quality; express their function just by looking at their shape and being colorful and playful enough for being part of a Mario+Rabbids game. Our concept artist did tons of incredible material that I wish one day to be able to show it to you all. Then, for kids like me or the concept artist, the best thing that could happen is that your virtual concept become something physical and tangible, and this is exactly how it went for us when we decided to build some of our in game weapons in real models that you could hold or expose. During E3, when Miyamoto and Yves (our president) were on stage, there was a beautiful moment in which they were playing and joking with those guns on the stage. It was something unexpected that put a smile on everyone’s face. In those picture you can see the construction process of some of them, along with some picture of the stage acting performed by Miyamoto San and Yves Guillemot. Of course, the bullet bill weapon that Miyamoto was holding on stage has been lost forever…as I have it in my house!
