I've always considered Reggie a true giant. Not only for his size, but also for his “Taking Notes and Kicking” ass attitude. When I was at E3 in Los Angeles I saw him on more than in many occasions: around the various stands, taking photos in front of the statue of Rabbid Kong (yes, even on that occasion someone beat him in height) and finally, when he was passing Ubisoft Boot to try out our games. Obviously, we couldn't miss the opportunity to bother him properly and ask him to take some photos together. How can you not take advantage of a legend, when you have one available, come on. So, without wasting time, we took advantage of the situation From the photo you can see below, it is immediately clear that A) I'm not a giant, I'm just a chubby teddy bear, with a height of 1.74cm (68.50 inches) and B) Reggie overhangs me, so much it could very well be my case.
Of course, Rabbid Kong statue aside, I never expected to have to reconsider how much of a giant Reggie is, ta after seeing him almost side by side with Luca, our designer who at the time of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, was in charge of "Combat Design". Luca is a genuine Friulian (a region of Italy), solid as a rock, determined, and with a cavernous voice that seems to be generated from an old tunnel of a disused mine inside the belly of an ancient mountain. It is certainly no coincidence that they call him “Fudo of the mountain”, like the famous character from the animated series “Fist of the North Star” (Hokuto no Ken). Only when I saw Luca next to Reggie I realised how big he really was. Not only is he a giant by our Milan office standards, but he's also a giant compared to Reggie (the poor guy in the middle, which by the way is very tall (1.94cm which is 77 inches circa), is our producer in Milan. Judge by yourself, there’s no photoshop or tricks here. It’s no by chance that we are using Luca as a frontman when we need something done from the gameplay programmers.
