I’m a Barbie Bass
And here’s my new baby: a fretless bass.
I’ve never owned one before, and honestly, it felt like a small injustice not to fix that sooner.
This is an ultra-limited run: only three Biarnel Scorcio “Barbie” basses were ever made, each individually numbered, with a Barbie-inspired color palette. The neck is fretless, but I asked to keep the fret lines. It probably looks cleaner without them, but I’m still learning, and they really help — like training wheels when you’re learning to ride a bike. Either way, I already love it, and I can’t wait to go pick it up.
As always, this bass was crafted by Emiliano Nencioni at Biarnel Luthiery, in Navacchio, Tuscany, Italy.
